Pandanus woven earrings by Rako Pasefika

Pandanus woven earrings

These earrings are made out of dried pandanus leaves woven together and hand painted to give them colour.

The pandanus leaf is used for mats, and traditional purposes on different islands in the Pacific. Rako are using it for jewellery and clothing. The woven pandanus is attached to sterling silver jump rings and hooks to create the finished earrings.
