Sigavou Studios

Sigavou Studios is the studio of Maria Rova, one of Fiji’s most prominent visual artists, known for vibrant contemporary work on traditional Fijian barkcloth and Habotai silk. Working from her home studio in Nadi, Maria draws on Fiji’s natural environment and rich cultural heritage, layering overlapping forms and abstract shapes that invite the viewer to find their own meaning.

What began as a kitchen-table enterprise is now a family-owned company that employs and trains local art assistants, with community craft fairs and children’s classes growing from the same spirit. At My Fiji Store we feature Maria’s hand-painted masi (bark-cloth) pieces.
